YOGA IN ATHENS
Welcome to ADI SHAKTI YOGA.
We are Muktitara Alexandra Sotiropoulou and Antaratma Theodoros Chiotis.
Our Yoga Retreats in Greece invite you on a deep inner journey of growth, awareness, and joy.
For us, Yoga Retreats are first and foremost meditative, spiritual experiences, and each one is an invitation to slow down and return to yourself.
If you are searching for an authentic, non-commercial Yoga Retreat in Greece, our Yoga and Zen Retreats in Serifos are the main offering we love sharing. You are also welcome to join our classes in Athens and Alimos, whether you are new to Yoga or have practised for years.
Are you eager or curious to experience what it means to live in the here and now?
Mastering the art of seizing the moment is one of the greatest challenges we could ever face. In each Yoga class, we guide your attention in such a way that you can experience the depth and intensity of the present moment. Practising Yoga is about training the mind to focus, grow, and evolve. While the ultimate goal is to transcend time and space, we work with both to support you as you walk the path of inner exploration.
With regular practice, the effects reach beyond the class: in how you breathe, how you move, and how you live your day.

SCARAVELLI INSPIRED YOGA
with Alexandra Sotiropoulou
Scaravelli-inspired Yoga is an intuitive approach to practice and teaching, suitable for people of all ages and physical conditions. This method of Yoga encourages practitioners to listen to their bodies and move in harmony with their natural rhythms, rather than forcing themselves into difficult positions that only stress the body-mind.
Experience the depth and wisdom of Scaravelli-inspired Yoga, which focuses on awakening the spine and promoting freedom of movement. Classes emphasize reviving spinal movement, supporting recovery from injuries, and releasing the breath, leading to a stronger, more balanced body and mind.
Join me and discover the benefits of this intelligent practice, which enhances self-awareness and encourages a deeper connection with your body. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced practitioner, Scaravelli-inspired Yoga can offer you a path to greater ease and deeper understanding.

Hatha Yoga Practice
In the Western world, we are most familiar with Hatha Yoga, which brings balance between the sun (ha) and moon (tha) energies and, consequently, between the two sides of the body. It aims to restore our physical and mental balance and promote relaxation, and it can support the awakening of our spiritual potential.
Yoga in Everyday Life
Yoga is an ancient practice that benefits both mind and body. Through regular practice, we can improve spinal health, increase flexibility, reduce stress, and feel more vital. Yoga also cultivates greater awareness, which helps us live with more presence and ease.
Strengthen Your Body and Mind
Hatha Yoga offers techniques that, when practised regularly, can bring physical, mental, and spiritual benefits. Asana, pranayama, relaxation, and meditation all contribute, first of all by encouraging full breathing. Full breathing supports overall health and energy, and leads to a sense of calm and clarity.
Science and Poetry
Yoga is a practice that can benefit every aspect of your life: physical, mental, and spiritual. We value this holistic approach, which is why we embrace a scientific understanding while also appreciating Yoga’s poetic side. Join us as we guide you toward self-discovery, learning to move with intention, breathe with awareness, and cultivate happiness.
IN OUR STUDENTS’ WORDS
"Alexandra is an attuned, inspired and expert teacher of Yoga, who beyond teaching, lives and embodies what she teaches. Her energy holds a welcoming, compassionate, serene space for one to experience the mind-body-awareness reality."
Yasmin Pakzad
"Antaratma is always there to show me (with words, but mostly by example) all I want (or don't want) to see about myself and my life, with infinite patience, acceptance and unconditional love (but not without limits)."
Sofia Lazaridou
"Through my teacher's guidance, I fell in love with Yoga, and I was able to change the way I see myself and life. I feel fortunate to have gotten to know Yoga through an approach that has the ability to truly transform the body and soul."
