After many years under the name Vijaya Yoga, our work and teaching is entering a new phase and will now continue as Adi Shakti Yoga.
This change did not happen suddenly. It emerged gradually, through years of teaching, retreats, meditation, and kirtan, as the different aspects of our work slowly came together into one unified vision.
The name Vijaya Yoga has accompanied us for a long time and carries many meaningful memories, relationships, and experiences. At the same time, it also created a practical difficulty, especially in Greece, where many people found it difficult to pronounce, remember, or search for online. Over the years, I often noticed uncertainty around the name, which made word-of-mouth sharing and online searches more complicated than they needed to be.
At the same time, another part of our work was growing through Adi Shakti Kirtan. Gradually, it became clear that keeping separate names for closely connected expressions of the same path was creating fragmentation rather than clarity.
The transition to Adi Shakti Yoga reflects a desire for greater coherence, simplicity, and continuity. Yoga, meditation, retreats, silence, breath, chanting, and embodied practice are not separate worlds for us. They are different expressions of one living inquiry.
While the name has changed, the essence of the work remains the same.
Our teaching continues to be deeply inspired by:
Satyananda Yoga
Scaravelli-inspired yoga
and Zen practice
This transition also marks a deeper maturation of the work itself. Less emphasis on external identity, and more emphasis on integration, authenticity, and direct experience.
For those who have practiced with us over the years: thank you for walking this path together.
And for those arriving here for the first time: welcome.
